Convention season is underway and we’re so excited to see the youth soccer industry’s best and brightest get together January 11-15 at the United Soccer Coaches Convention (USCC) in Philly. After a tough few years of canceled, virtual, and missed conventions, we’re itching to get back in person with other leaders in the youth soccer industry, and LeagueApps is even an Official Partner of the convention this year—so it’s safe to say this will be one of the best conventions of the year and you won’t want to miss it.
Here are four reasons you should attend USCC 2023:
Soccer Education
You’ll have the opportunity to learn so much about soccer coaching in over 200 lecture sessions and field demonstrations given by world-class presenters. Guaranteed you’ll leave the convention with at least one new thing to bring back to your own practices and training sessions.
Leagueapps President Jeremy Goldberg will be presenting The Imperative of Innovation: How Data and Technology will Impact Youth Sports on Thursday, January 12th at 9:30am in room 204B. Plus, LeagueApps Vice President of Community & Impact—and Olympic Gold Medalist—Benita Fitzgerald-Mosley will present Purpose-Driven Growth: How to Scale with a Mission on Friday, January 13th at 3:15pm in room 103C.
Youth Soccer Technology
Leading providers in youth soccer technology will be attending USCC 2023 to show leaders what their technology can do to further their game. Look out for LeagueApps’ booth #616 in the Exhibit Hall during Exhibit hours to demo our solutions that can help you:
- Manage your soccer clubs, camps, tournaments, and leagues on a single, integrated platform
- Customize registration to capture the participant data you need
- Generate and edit program schedules
- Easily manage rosters and member data
- Create waitlists and set capacity limits
- Seamlessly integrate third-party apps and tools
Connect to Youth Soccer Professionals From All Over
It’s not everyday you have an opportunity to meet and speak with coaches from all over the country. Attend socials, happy hours—like LeagueApps’ at Bank & Bourbon on Friday, January 13th—and award ceremonies to make lasting connections with other youth soccer coaches and administrators.
“One of the best things I ever did in my career was be a member of United Soccer Coaches, and the convention is the highlight of that membership. It’s an opportunity not only to network, make new friends, but you can rub elbows with some of the best coaches in the world,” says Schellas Hyndman, Past President and Member since 1977.
Get Recognized for Your Accomplishments
United Soccer Coaches recognizes excellence in soccer, academics, and service to the game by administering an award and recognition program at the convention. Perhaps you or a colleague will have the chance to be recognized this year!
Attend an Upcoming Convention
USCC will provide leaders in youth soccer with the opportunity to get together and discuss moving the sport forward. Don’t forget to register for LeagueApps’ Happy Hour on January 13th for an opportunity to chat with the LeagueApps team and other youth soccer leaders in a more intimate, fun setting!
There are a number of youth sports conventions coming up in 2023 that you won’t want to miss:
