It’s the most wonderful time of the year—convention season is back in full swing! After the last three years, it’s no surprise leaders in youth sports are itching to get together and learn from each other at sports-specific conventions all over the country.

So far, the LeagueApps team has attended the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Convention (Softball) in San Antonio and the American Volleyball Coaches Association in Omaha and we can say they were worthwhile experiences—full of learning, networking, technology, and fun. They each provided unique opportunities to gather as much information as possible on the industries today—and we left feeling like experts in the sport.

If you want to stay on top of your game, you don’t want to miss the conventions coming up after New Years:

Why Conventions are Important

Youth sports is an extremely social industry—but unfortunately it’s not common to have opportunities to connect with youth sports leaders on a professional level off the field. We all have the same goal of creating quality experiences for kids and in order to do that, it’s important to stay up-to-date on the latest technology and trends in youth sports. Here are 3 reasons you should consider attending a youth sports convention in 2023:

  1. Stay up to date on youth sports technology

Technology has changed the way youth sports operate, and attending a convention is a great opportunity to learn what tech you should be using to run your organization. For example, we’ll have booths at all of the upcoming conventions—baseball, football, soccer, and lacrosse—to walk visitors through our solutions for registration, communication, rosters, scheduling, and more. Set up time to speak with us at your respective convention:

  1. Network with and learn from other leaders in the industry

There will be plenty of opportunities to talk to other leaders in your respective sport to ask them questions about how they solve problems, get their opinion on changes in the industry, and make lasting relationships with people who share a common mission. Over 2,500 coaches attended NFCA 2023 in San Antonio and 3,500 were at AVCA!

We’re even hosting happy hours and socials at ABCA, USCC, and LaxCon to give you an opportunity to socialize and hang out in a fun, laid back setting at some of the coolest spots in the cities! Here’s a pic from our NFCA happy hour:

  1. Hear from youth sports thought leaders

The roster of speakers at each convention is a huge reason leaders choose to attend conventions. For example, at USCC, you can expect to hear from LeagueApps President Jeremy Goldberg about how data and technology will impact youth sports and LeagueApps Vice President of Community & Impact Benita Fitzgerald-Mosley about growing your business with a mission.

At ABCA, you’ll have the opportunity to choose from 23 different sessions—with speakers from leading programs in college baseball, MLB (like the Washington Nationals, the Yankees, and the San Francisco Giants), and more!

Let’s Meet Up at a Convention!

Don’t miss out on a unique opportunity to soak in all youth baseball, football, soccer, or lacrosse have to offer and start your 2023 season off strong and prepared. If you plan to attend a convention, set up time to talk with us so we can help you plan for 2023!
