LeagueApps Makes Inc.’s List of Fastest-Growing Companies—in Spite of COVID’s Effect on Youth Sports

In March 2020 alone, more than 700 thousand youth athletes were unable to participate in scheduled youth sports events, according to Statista, and it didn’t affect just the events. We refunded $40M in transactions and returned all fees, decreasing our revenue by 95%. Things were looking bleak for the youth sports world at the time, and bleak for LeagueApps as a company. This major bump in the road was only fuel to our inspiration to get kids back out there playing—and that’s exactly what we did. The resilience of youth sports helped the industry bounce back after COVID-19 hit, and it helped us bounce back, too.
Over two years since the beginning of the pandemic, we’re so excited to announce that LeagueApps was just named one of Inc.’s 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America—ranking number 3,436.
The prestigious list provides a one-of-a-kind look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent businesses. We’re proud to be joining well-known names like Facebook, Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft, and Patagonia—all of which gained their first national exposures on the Inc. 5000.
“The accomplishment of building one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., in light of recent economic roadblocks, cannot be overstated,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that have established themselves through innovation, hard work, and rising to the challenges of today.”
At LeagueApps, all of us pride ourselves on our commitment to helping youth sports organizations operate, engage, and win with the industry’s most comprehensive youth sports management platform. Whether it’s improving our platform to meet the dynamic needs of our partners, communicating effectively, expanding our relationships to use the resources and networks of pro teams, or hosting events to make the world of youth sports a little smaller, every person at LeagueApps is involved in the rapid growth we’ve seen over the last three years.
“The last two and a half years have been challenging for all of us, but not more than the youth sports industry. But the resilience of the industry helped it bounce back—and so did we,” says Brian Litvack, LeagueApps CEO and co-founder. “Now that they are back on the fields and on the courts, youth sports organizations have other things to worry about: disruption, innovation, societal changes, and scaling with purpose. We are here to help them operate, serve their communities, and win on and off the field.”
