On April 14th, 2019 LeagueApps will host the fourth annual “Ballin’ For Charity” 3v3 basketball tournament at Basketball City in Manhattan. Not only does the event reinforce LeagueApps’ mission to provide incredible sports experiences by ensuring that every dollar raised is donated to youth sports participants and mission-aligned organizations, but it also provides an incredibly fun and family-friendly atmosphere for all players.

Teams from the startup and tech communities will compete in either the competitive or recreational divisions with a chance to win a donation for the charity of their choice. Additionally, all players and guests are eligible to enter the 3-point shootout and single-elimination knockout game that has become a staple of the day’s events. At the end of pool play until the tournament concludes, the free after party in Basketball City’s upstairs lounge will be open for all players, with food and drinks provided.

If you’re interested in getting your company involved here are a few tactics to convince your organization’s top brass to sign on the dotted line.

Promote Team Unity & Social Responsibility At The Same Time

The secret behind any winning team is chemistry. This is true in the office and out on the court. Cohesive teams have strong bonds and the best way to create that dynamic is by creating fun atmospheres for your employees to get to know each other better. For the same cost of a company happy hour, you can sponsor a team and start building memories. The proceeds of Ballin’ For Charity will go towards a socially responsible cause, which will make everyone feel even better about their time spent on the court. Talk about a work perk!

Robust Networking Opportunities

From giants like Lyft to startups disrupting the tech industry, you never know who you could connect with at Ballin’ For Charity. Getting into the right room, so to speak, is the name of the game in New York City, and Basketball City is one cavernous room. Think of all the networking opportunities that a philanthropic event like B4C can deliver!

Recruiting Fodder

Corporations spend a pretty penny on content to attract the best and the brightest. Just think of the photo and video opportunities at Ballin’ For Charity. Even the world’s best Instagram filter can’t make Bagel Friday look lit 🔥🥯🔥. Take advantage of all the high flyin’, rim-rattling, hardwood action through your social accounts. Who wouldn’t want to work for a company that works hard and plays hard!
