9 LeagueApps Lax Partners Announced In National Team Player Pool

US Lacrosse recently announced the 59 players that have been selected to try out for the 2018 United States Men’s National Team. Tryouts will begin July 10-12 in Sparks, Maryland.

Of the 59 players selected, 9 are partners of the LeagueApps Lax team. Additionally, Ned Crotty is the Director of Lacrosse and Paul Rabil is an investor of LeagueApps. You can read the full roster in this Inside Lacrosse article.

Here are a few notes about the six players and their lacrosse programs.

 

Joey Sankey – Team 11 Lacrosse

Team 11 Lacrosse club was established with one goal: “to provide an unparalleled and unmatched level of coaching and commitment to all of its players.” Their innovative approach to individual focuses on the idea that youth players actually spend too much time playing lacrosse, instead of training to improve individual skills.

 

Rob Pannell – Alpha 423 Lacrosse

 

College, professional, and world teammates Rob Pannell and Max Seibald founded Alpha 423 camps and clinics to provide athletes with both one-on-one training and group coaching from veterans of the highest levels. The dedicated staff prides itself on creating an atmosphere of fair play and confidence while pushing their campers to focus on what it takes to be successful on and off the field.

 

Mike Chanenchuk – Long Island Express

 

Mike Channenchuk is a director of the boys’ teams for the famous Long Island Express. A staple in the mid-Atlantic lacrosse world, the Express are proud to have developed over 200 Division I lacrosse players, over 300 playing at all college levels, over 15 Under Armour All Americans, and over 23 Under Armour Underclass All Americans.

 

Drew Snider – City Side Lax

 

Based in the Pacific Northwest, City Side Lax has expanded lacrosse in the region as well as grown exponentially in just a few short years. The staff is focused on teaching everyone in the program, with the goal to increase the lacrosse IQ of players, coaches, teams, and parents in all aspects of the game. Steven DeNapoli – Long Island Dodgers

 

The newly formed Dodgers Lacrosse club was founded in 2016 by Long Island standouts Steve DeNapoli and Mike Malave. Both are former Division I captains and will instill that type of leadership into each and every player of the club.

 

Greg Gurenlian – Face Off Academy
Brendan Fowler – Faceoff Academy

The Face Off Academy is dedicated to creating well-rounded athletes with the ability to contribute to their teams offensively, defensively, and- you guessed it- at the faceoff x. Greg Gurenlian and the staff put a strong focus on strengthening the mental skills of each player so as to turn a good athlete into an elite athlete.

 

Mitch Belisle – Trilogy Lacrosse

 

Founded in 2005, Trilogy is headquartered in Jersey City, NJ and owns a reputation as a best in class reputation in educational programming and event management. The staff throughout the organization is dedicated to positively impacting the future of lacrosse on a local and national scale. In 2015, the number of student-athletes that have participated throughout their programs numbered 8,000.

 

Michael Bocklet – Team 91 Tristate

 

Team 91 was started with one thing in mind: to provide an unparalleled level of teaching, that which is not seen in travel organizations. The travel club teams span from Long Island to New Jersey, Maryland to Texas and California. Michael Bocklet is the Director of the TriState teams.
