AL East

As a Yankee fan, it kills me to pick the Red Sox here.

Take the most potent offense in the League combined with the new addition of Sale and you’ve got yourself a World Series Contender.

AL Central

Wanted to go with the Royals here but the Indians are clearly the team to beat. The offense should be getting a significant boost with the addition of Edwin Encarnacion and the return of Michael Brantley. The rest of the division didn’t seem to do much to close the gap here.

AL West

It’s been 15 years since the Mariners last postseason appearance but this will finally be the year where they make some noise again. They had the 3rd best offense in the American League and have a much-improved defense thanks to the addition of Jean Segura, Mitch Hangier, and Jarrod Dyson.

NL East

Great pitching will always beat great hitting.

There’s no better rotation in the league and the offense is just good enough to get the job done.

NL Central

Does this pick need any justification? The best team in baseball with the best manager in baseball.

Enough said.

NL West

Winners of the West for the past 4 years, the Dodgers have an extremely talented roster. If we were just going to go by the best team on paper then they might take the cake. The question for the Dodgers isn’t if they’ll win the division but if they can finally get it done in the playoffs.

AL East

Chris Sale will embody the “D” in our LeagueApps SportsDog motto and be a Difference Maker for the Sox. Their lineup is scary good and I would expect some double-digit run outputs. Monster shots beware…

AL Central

They are pretty much the same team that could’ve won the World Series last year. Add Edwin Encarnacion and a healthy Brantley to the list and they are set up to dominate the rest of this division.

AL West

Evan Gattis will embody the “G” in our LeagueApps SportsDog motto and be the Gritty player for the Astros. The man who was once a janitor is now an impact MLB player. If their rotation holds up and Dallas Kuechel pitches to his capability then they can be the best in the west.

NL East

Max Scherzer will embody the “P” in our LeagueApps SportsDog motto and will lead this strong rotation once again with his fiery Passion. Just ask Tim Tebow how that fastball is looking. Adam Eaton and Matt Wieters will be impact players and Dusty’s toothpick will be spinning into October.

NL Central

This team looks like the team you put together when you did a fantasy draft on the old 2k games and the computer drafters had no idea what they were doing. The ERA leader from last year Kyle Hendricks is their 5th starter. Enough said.

NL West

Julio Urias will piggy back off of his strong 2016. Who better to learn from than a guy who may be the best pitcher ever and a fellow southpaw? As deep as this team is, as long as they keep a 110% approach throughout the season, the Dodgers are poised for a strong season.
