Strategic Move Solidifies LeagueApps’ Role as the Innovation Leader in Youth Soccer Infrastructure One Year Ahead of the 2026 World Cup

New York, NY —June 17, 2025—LeagueApps, the leading youth sports management platform, today announced the acquisition of MOD11, a premier soccer competition platform that is being used by MLS NEXT, USL, and Elite Academy League among others. This move reinforces LeagueApps’ commitment to furthering the youth soccer industry by delivering the platform that powers the next era of youth soccer—purpose-built for clubs and competitions to operate as modern, customer-focused, and mission-driven organizations.

In recognition of the rapid evolution of the sport—and the need for new models of leadership and innovation—LeagueApps will broadcast the Future of Soccer Town Hall on July 9, 2025 at 11am ET.  The event will give industry leaders a place to share ideas and solutions shaping soccer’s future.

Founded in 2010, LeagueApps powers thousands of youth and local sports organizations across all team sports. The platform has enabled millions of events, supported engagement across millions of players, parents, and coaches, and processed billions of dollars in payments that make sports programs possible. Beyond software, LeagueApps delivers professional development through its NextUp platform, champions access through the FundPlay Foundation, and leads industry advocacy via the PLAYS Initiative.

“LeagueApps is stepping up at a moment when youth soccer needs more leadership, more innovation, and more belief,” said Julie Foudy, LeagueApps investor and World Cup Champion and ESPN analyst. “As someone who’s spent my life in the sport, I’m proud to support a team that’s committed to building infrastructure that truly serves players, families, and the game’s future.”

The MOD11 acquisition is part of the launch of LeagueApps’ Soccer Competitions product, enabling an end-to-end experience for league and tournament operations including scheduling, matchday management, compliance, and mobile-first club communications. Ryan Miller, MOD11 founder, Elite Academy League commissioner, and former Portland Timbers academy director, will join the LeagueApps team to help lead soccer innovation efforts.

MOD11 addresses a critical challenge in youth soccer: fragmented, outdated infrastructure that creates friction for clubs, families, and operators. Now fully integrated into LeagueApps, the platform offers a seamless, scalable competition experience that empowers organizations to focus on growth, experience, and mission.

“I started MOD11 to build smarter tools for competitions—because platforms are critical to player development, talent identification, and the overall experience,” said Miller. “Now, as part of LeagueApps, we can scale that vision and deliver the leading solution for a rapidly evolving soccer landscape.”

LeagueApps Competitions, now powered by MOD11, already supports top-tier organizations including the Elite Academy League (EAL).

“The difference LeagueApps has made in our league operations is transformational,” said Noah Gins, National Chair of EAL. “MOD11 has taken us to the next level. We’re excited to continue to work with Ryan Miller and the LeagueApps team and to invent the future together.”

This announcement builds on LeagueApps’ recent momentum—including its October 2024 strategic investment from Accel-KKR and Arctos, and its acquisition of facility management solution RecTimes.

“This isn’t just about technology—it’s about building infrastructure that empowers leaders across the youth soccer ecosystem,” said Brian Litvack, CEO and Co-Founder of LeagueApps. “This is our belief in the sport, and our commitment to serve it better.”

As part of this rollout, the Future of Soccer Town Hall will explore how the game is changing—and what it demands from its leaders. The event will feature leaders like Julie Foudy, MLS’ Kyle Albrecht, New York Red Bulls’ Dave Jervis and LeagueApps’ Ryan Miller alongside perspectives from club executives, youth soccer leaders, and other national stakeholders across four dimensions: competition, clubs, technology, and business.

“Youth soccer is no longer just a game—it’s a fast-evolving economy where only a few are winning,” said Jeremy Goldberg, President and Co-Founder of LeagueApps. “Clubs are under pressure to modernize, families expect more, and the future will belong to those who master the business of youth soccer. Whether through our software—including MOD11—or our industry leadership, LeagueApps is the business partner this new era requires.”
